Rural communities are often surrounded by fields of commodity crops, yet they lack access to fresh, locally-sourced produce. This irony fuels our mission: we are passionate about getting nutritious foods to the communities that feed the world.
Why Veterns?
Traditionally, veterans disproportionately come from rural communities where hard work and discipline are a way of life. This upbringing is what makes these men and women great servicemen and women. However, transitioning to life after deployment and active duty is not easy. So often, these veteran families are left alone without a community that sustained them during their life of service. Transition Plus is confident that providing veterans with a supportive environment after military service will help them become active members of society. Our goal is to develop healthy habits, recognize transferable job skills, and empower them to contribute to their own families and communities.

Folks living in rural areas drive past acres and acres of farmland to purchase produce shipped miles from their home from farmland thousands of miles away. This irony fuels our mission: we are passionate about getting nutritious foods to the communities that feed the world. We want to make fresh produce local again.
Better Produce!
Our Better Produce is grown on our Tower Farm in aeroponic growing towers. Aeroponics is an advanced form of hydroponics. As a result, tower Farms grow 30% more food three times faster than conventional gardens. The result is remarkably healthy food, saving up to 90% more space and 98% more water compared to traditional agricultural methods.
This makes Tower Farms an ideal model for veterans transitioning to rural communities and a key ingredient to our program.
